Health care professionals come out to support Reid

The campaign of Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., will introduce a new group of supporters, "Health Care Professionals for Reid". The event was scheduled Tuesday morning at Women's Cancer Center of Nevada.

It will was set to feature the following folks coming out in support of the re-election of Sen. Reid, who is upside down in opinion polls and engaged in a tough fight for health reform legislation in Congress.

Here's the list from the campaign: Nick M. Spirtos, MD, Director, Women’s Cancer Center of Nevada, John C. Ruckdeschel, MD, Director and CEO, Nevada Cancer Institute, Debra Toney, President, Black Nurses Association, Stephanie Kirby, Director, Susan G. Komen For the Cure, Southern Nevada, Ikram Khan, MD, Florence Jameson, MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Some criticism of Republican efforts to derail the Democratic reform efforts was also expected to be part of the event.
