Heck expected to announce plans on Tuesday
Republican gubernatorial candidate Joe Heck expected to make a campaign announcement tomorrow.
The expectation is Heck will shift his campaign focus from Carson City to Washington, D.C.
In recent weeks Republican John Guedry dropped out of the race for the congressional seat held by Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev.
That left an opening for Heck, who was buried deep in the polls for the Republican gubernatorial primary, to fill the void.
Heck hasn't made an official announcement, but has said he would consider the move.
