Heidi Montag has a TV show in mind: ‘Cooking for Simpletons’

I asked Heidi Montag if she has any secret talents.

“I’m starting to cook. That’s a pretty big talent. I would give credit to anyone who can cook anything. It’s way harder than I thought,” she told me Thursday. (She takes husband Spencer Pratt to Pure on Saturday.)

“Last night, I made my first stir fry ever. That was a big deal for me. It was from scratch. I burned half the bag. I’m glad I had a backup bag.

“I think it would be fun to have a cooking show one day. I could definitely see myself doing something like that. I’d have to get better. So, it would have to be cooking for simpletons,” she said and laughed.

“I watch these cooking shows, and sometimes there’s just too much to keep up with.”

I told her that I want a cook book where it takes less time to cook than to eat. She caught my drift.

“I spent two hours cutting and all this stuff yesterday, and then I ate for five seconds,” she said, and joked, “I was like, ‘I am so tired for nothin’! I’m eating Burger King or Taco Bell the next time.’”

Any other secret talents?

“I write poetry. I like writing. I’m a big writer. I used to want to be a writer.”

Anything else?

“I design a lot of my own fashion clothes. I actually designed my Halloween costume. That — I think you kind of know though, because I had a clothing line.”

“I have a passion for fashion.”
