Heinz continues to lead, Lamb puts O’Dea on life support

After 97 hands, Pius Heinz, of Germany continued to hold a somewhat commanding lead in the Main Event with 65.2 million. American Matt Giannetti was second with 51.675 million.

Martin Staszko of the Czech Republic, was third with 38.250 million.

The big move game on the 97th hand, when Ben Lamb crippled Ireland’s Eoghan O’Dea to blast back into contention. Lamb, who picked up a pair of eights on the river card after risking his last 14 million in chips, held fourth place with 29.45 million.

American Phil Collins is in fifth with 18.750 million while O’Dea is nearly out with 2.6 million.
