Heller on health agreement: “Labor getting a sweetheart deal”
With the White House reaching a tentative deal with organized labor over health care, Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., issued the following comment:
“It is unfortunate that special interests groups continue to get a seat at the negotiating table, while Republicans remain locked out of these discussions. Instead of working for bipartisan legislation, the majority party has sought to negotiate backroom deals and buy votes. While labor groups get a sweetheart deal, Nevadans get higher taxes and our seniors get their Medicare benefits cut. This is hardly a fair trade."
