Henderson council to vote next week on whether to fire city manager

Any lingering questions about Mary Kay Peck’s future as Henderson city manager will soon be put to rest.

On Tuesday, City Council members are scheduled to vote on whether to fire Peck and name someone to replace her.

The two action items appear at the end of the agenda for the April 14 meeting, which was released by the city this morning.

Late last week, an attorney for Peck said his client had been placed on 30 days of paid administrative leave but was not told that she was to be fired.

But city officials said there have been talks with Peck and her attorney over a separation agreement. Officials also said Peck was not placed on leave but agreed to take 30 days of vacation.

She is due back to work on April 15, assuming she still has a job by then.
