Henderson Hyundai hits sales record

There is plenty of good economic news at Henderson Hyundai. Record sales were reached in May and for the first half of 2012.

"Our sales numbers in May were the best we've had since 2007," said Kip Fluth, general manager of the Henderson Hyundai Superstore. "We exceeded 300 units in one month. We are feeling pretty optimistic about growth and recovery."

The dealership's record sales month continues a patter of success.

"June was a record, too," Fluth said.

The dealership has been the No. 1 dealer in the West, excluding California, every month since November 2011.

"We think our success comes from multiple sources," Fluth said. "We are selling great cars at great prices. On top of that we really take care of our customers."

To back up that statement, Henderson Hyundai is ranked highest in customer satisfaction among all Hyundai dealers in Nevada, mainly due to special programs, such as free lifetime oil changes for new Hyundais. Another unique program is Borrow Buck's Truck, which allows customers the use of one of a fleet of trucks if they need one.

Other record numbers were reached in the Internet department.

"We sold more cars than we ever have before - 175 units is a record for my department," said Cole Cloninger, Internet sales manager. "People are more and more comfortable interacting with us online. If that is what they prefer, then we are happy to oblige."
