Henderson residents can pay
sewer, water bills online
The city of Henderson has launched BillOnline, an electronic billing and account management service for water and sewer customers.
Customers who enroll can receive their bill via email, make a payment online, schedule automatic recurring payments, manage multiple accounts and view and print past statements.
The city is expected to save about $58,000 a year in paper, printing and mailing costs for every 10 percent of customers who sign up to receive their bill electronically.

THE EASTER BUNNY SETS UP for photos
AT GALLERIA AT SUNSET mall
The Easter Bunny is expected to be at the Galleria at Sunset mall, 1300 W. Sunset Road, until April 7.
Children can have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny in the lower level center court.
Photos are available from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Pets can also get their photos from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays.

PROM DRESS SWAP PLANNED
The first Prom Boutique is slated from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive. Participants can bring in last year's prom dress and swap it.
The event also is scheduled to feature refreshments, music and a 2012 prom fashion show, highlighting the latest trends. Dresses that are not chosen will be donated to Goodwill of Southern Nevada.

COUNCILWOMAN schroder PLANS NEIGHBORHOOD CONNECTION MEETING
Henderson City Councilwoman Gerri Schroder has scheduled a Ward 1 Neighborhood Connections meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. March 29 at the Henderson Park Senior Facility, 300 S. Racetrack Road.
Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen and other city leaders are expected to attend to discuss city projects and updates.

youths invited to learn
lifeguarding skills
Youths ages 12 to 14 who are interested in lifeguarding are invited to take part in the Henderson Parks and Recreation Department's Jr. Lifeguard Spring Clinic.
The program is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. April 2-5 at the Heritage Park Aquatic Complex, 310 S. Racetrack Road. Registration is $50 per person and can be made online at cityofhenderson.com/parks (activity 136004-01) or at any recreation center or indoor pool.

ANNUAL EGG DIVE SLATED FOR APRIL
The city of Henderson's Parks and Recreation Department is scheduled to host its annual Egg Dive from 1 to 3 p.m. April 7 at the Whitney Ranch Activity Pool. 1575 B Galleria Drive.
Dozens of eggs are expected to be hidden along the bottom of the pool, and the swimmer who finds the most in each age group wins a prize.
Age groups include 4-year-olds at
1:15 p.m.; ages 5 to 6 at 1:30 p.m.; ages 7 to 8 at 1:45 p.m.; ages 9 to 10 at 2:15 p.m.; ages 11 to 12 at 2:30 p.m.; and 13 or older at 2:45 p.m.
Children younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Participation is $2 to $3 per person.

TO GO DARK FOR EARTH HOUR MARCH 31
Nine Boyd Gaming properties in Las Vegas plan to go dark for Earth Hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. March 31 as a reflection of the company's commitment to sustainable business practices.
By installing more efficient lights in a variety of areas during the past three years, Boyd Gaming has cut its annual electricity usage by more than 17 million kilowatt-hours. New initiatives now being introduced will reduce usage by an additional 5 million kwh, company officials said.
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION OFFERS REDUCED FARE TRANSIT PASSES
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada has announced that 30-day and five-day full- and reduced-fare transit passes are available for purchase at more than 135 7-Eleven locations across the Las Vegas Valley.
The passes also are available at other retailers throughout Southern Nevada, including Albertsons, Walgreens and Mariana's. Passes also are available at bookstores at the College of Southern Nevada campuses.
