Here’s how to send a real message to Iran

When it comes to hitting a rogue state where it hurts, tough guy rhetoric (George W. Bush) and calm reason (Barack Obama) are essentially useless tools. And saber rattling with the unstable is never productive and very much like arguing with the insane.

But moving to take over a country’s financial outposts can be devastating, and that’s precisely what’s being considered in New York
these days, where the United States Attorney for the Southern District is sizing up a 36-story Manhattan high-hrise owned through the Bank Melli of Iran.

Do that a few dozen times, and our nation will “encourage” wealthy and politically connected Iranians to talk some sense into that government’s suicidal hierarchy.
