Hispanic Realtors present awards

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals' Nevada Chapter handed out its 2007 awards to its associates Dec. 7 at the seventh annual Holiday Fiesta and Awards ceremony at the Monte Carlo.

Partner of the Year Award was presented to Bank of America. Member of the Year Award was given to Kenneth J. LoBene, director of Las Vegas Department of Housing and Urban Development Field Office. Juan Martinez, RE/MAX Advantage in Las Vegas, received the Real Estate/Brokerage Award of the Year. Best Mortgage Banker of the Year was presented to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Las Vegas-based Venta Home Loans received the Best Mortgage Broker of the Year.

National home builder D.R. Horton earned the Builder/Developer of the Year award and First American Title was named Title & Escrow Company of the Year. The Amigo Award of the Year went to Norma Green, account executive for Red Rock Title Co., and the Media Partner of the Year was given to Telemundo TV 39.

The state chapter is eight years old, just one year younger than the national organization. Both are committed to empowering Hispanic homeownership and supporting community involvement and charitable events.
