Hollywood insider produces second act in career, lifestyle at Juhl project
Hollywood insider Linda Brooks said launching a second career meant a location change to Las Vegas. Brooks has worked with the likes of super agent-to-the-stars, Swifty Lazar, and said she has taken on a new role as a loan officer in California and now Nevada.
According to Brooks, she purchased her new residence on the third-floor of the mixed-use mid-rise on the same day that her son Curt Timm purchased his on the eighth.
"I've enjoyed the undeniable energy and excitement of Las Vegas for a very long time," Brooks said, "and seeing downtown make a big comeback is thrilling. I want to live at juhl so I can be in the heartbeat of this reinvention of downtown Las Vegas."
Brooks said she drives by the corner of Bonneville Avenue and 4th Street almost daily to check the progress of juhl. Once complete, the mid-rise development will feature six buildings of varying heights and facades, with more than 100 floor plans, ranging from 600 to 2,200 square feet. juhl includes one and two-level designs in live/work lofts, mid-rise and high-rise lofts, warehouse lofts, townhouses, flats, and penthouses.
According to Brooks, she is looking forward to a mid-2008 move-in.
"It's a fantastic investment certainly, but I'm really looking forward to making juhl my new home," Brooks said. " ... I love all the public art, as well as all the things to do and see here. juhl puts you in the center of everything that makes Las Vegas great. I'll be steps away from the best in culture, nightspots, entertainment, restaurants and shopping. I considered retiring, but being a part of something new and dynamic really has been re-energizing."
The development's interior design partner, Creative Touch Interiors, consults with buyers in further highlighting residences' standard features which include kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, in certain models, energy-efficient air conditioning and forced-air heating, high-speed Internet access, designer-selected Grohe chrome plumbing fixtures and maple cabinetry.
The mixed-use residential project will provide onsite security, two-story fitness center and shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.
Other highlights include a rooftop courtyard with pool and spa, gated underground parking and 27,000 square feet of retail space. Prices start in the $300,000s.
