Home builder helps Tuscan Cliffs owners to customize their homes

Ensuring residents get the most out of their luxury homes is a process that starts long before move-in, according to Connie Hurst, customer service manager for Pacific Southwest Development, which specializes in semi-custom estate homes in guard-gated enclaves.

The company's actively developing neighborhood, Tuscan Cliffs features Tuscan-style homes adjacent to the Southern Highlands Golf Club and the foothills of the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

In operation for nearly 20 years, Hurst the home builder's southwestern valley development is a culmination of its experience in the Las Vegas luxury home market.

"Pacific Southwest Development has always provided a quality home," Hurst said. "With a quality, customized home, we have a responsibility to ensure the homeowners feel their particular interests have been taken to heart. Customer service starts when their home is brought into production. It becomes a personal relationship. I stay in contact with our residents on a regular basis and ensure the home is just as they envision."

According to Hurst, she periodically contacts homeowners after move-in to see how they are enjoying their new residences.

She said she verifies that they understand the warranty package and recommended maintenance schedules; have all of the certificates and documentation on their homes; and that their homes are performing as expected.

While contact becomes less frequent, the door between residents and customer service always remains open.

"I don't believe there is ever really an end to customer service. I will still help a homeowner even 10 years after the home is completed," Hurst said. "Pacific Southwest has built a loyal clientele over the past two decades, but even if their first home purchase from us is their last, we want it to be a positive experience."

A total of 155 luxury estate homes are planned for Tuscan Cliffs.

Each home site measures at least one-quarter acre. Premium lots, including some measuring one-half acre and others built into the hillsides, are available.

Four two-story models are open for tours at the neighborhood. In their base configurations, floor plans range from 4,328 to 5,441 square feet. Personalized design options can bring the homes to 6,000 square feet.

Each of the homes is designed for a high level of customizing, allowing residents to add a range of spaces and features.

Standard amenities include paver stone driveways, sand-finished stucco exteriors, exterior stone veneer, stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, 6-foot garden tubs, wood-clad Andersen windows, Kohler plumbing fixtures and structured wiring systems.

Numerous options are available for nearly every aspect of the home, including structured wiring systems and media networks, swimming pools, as well as decorator touches.

Each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home, saving owners on their heating and cooling expenses while providing a quieter, more environmentally friendly home, Hurst said.

Base prices range from $1 million to $1.3 million.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs.

Sales office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m. For more information, call 228-8559.
