I get the best letters …
I send selected loyal readers a note of appreciation, along with a coffee cup and it's delivered with the morning newspaper. It's just a way saying "thank you" to someone who has invested a lot of good time reading the Review-Journal.
Anyway, I get the nicest notes in return. This one from Betty J. Haning stood out: "Just wanted to get a note off to you to thank you so much for the mug and balloon ... as one of the long time 500 subscribers of the R.J. for the past 47 years. What a kind and thoughtful gesture."
"Yes, I do so enjoy reading the R.J. to start off my day."
Betty then went on to praise her independent newspaper carrier, Miriam Quinteros. Isn't that just like a good R-J subscriber. Always thinking of someone else.
Thanks, Betty. It's great to have you reading every morning.
