Remember when Obama the Candidate promised that he’d be different than President Bush when it comes to lobbyists?
No lobbyists in his administration. No sir.
Well, what better day than April 1 to point out that President Obama has hired what is estimated to be his 100th lobbyist.
Politico reports: “Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has appointed a former BAE lobbyist to the Defense Department’s Senior Executive Service.”
Iram A. Ali “has been assigned as special assistant to the secretary of defense for White House Liaison.”
If only this were an April Fool’s joke.
