National association to hold local event
The National Apartment Association has announced its Executive Panel for the 2009 NAA Student Housing Conference & Exposition, scheduled Feb. 2-4, 2009, in Las Vegas.
"The knowledge that the Executive Panel will lend to the 2009 NAA Student Housing Conference & Exposition will be an indispensable tool for anyone who attends the conference," said NAA President Doug Culkin, CAE.
NAA's Student Housing Conference & Exposition is geared toward operational and management professionals.
In 2008, more than 500 people attended the conference, and attendance is expected to exceed that number in 2009.

Contractors Board names new chairman
The Nevada State Contractors' Board named Guy Wells chairman. Wells currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Wells Cargo Inc., a 73-year-old, third generation family-owned general engineering and contracting company business based in Las Vegas. He replaces Margaret Cavin as chairman.
Wells is a longtime industry leader, serving as chairman of the NCA, a 13-year-old nonprofit industry trade group, from 2005 to 2006. He continues to serve on NCA's executive committee.
Wells Cargo has received numerous company honors for its work including being named NCA's Contractor of the Year in 2001; NCA's Subcontractor of the Year in 2003; and the AFL-CIO's Nevada Contractor of the Year in 2003.

Territory Incorporated's Senior Vice President, Nick Hannon, recently announced the addition of The Island Spas, Indian Gourmet Curry Bowl, and Don C. Gilbreth, D.M.D., to its $98 million shopping center, Centennial Gateway.
Anchored by Sportsman's Warehouse, 24 Hour Fitness and Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, the 350,000-square-foot development is located on the northwest corner of U.S. 95 and Ann Road in Las Vegas.
