In video, Quon’s brother sticks up for embattled sister

Attorney Nancy Quon is in the center of a lengthy federal criminal investigation into construction defect litigation and possible corruption inside local homeowners associations.

When Quon was nearly killed in a fire at her home Oct. 28, law enforcement openly speculated that she was likely attempting to commit suicide due to the pressure she’s been under.

Not so, Quon told me in a recent interview. She’s a fighter by nature who has far too much to live for.

Brother Bob Hellen is one person Quon lives for, she says. Hellen, 49, suffers from B-cell leukemia. Currently undergoing chemotherapy, he took time from his medical regimen to make a video about his sister.

As a public relations move, it’s an interesting strategy. Whether it effectively persuades anyone is up to the viewer.

FBI agents investigating the construction defect and HOA mess are likely to be unmoved.
