It was a lie: Al Qaeda willfully omitted on Benghazi

And now Benghazi-Gate begins in earnest. Former CIA Director David Petraeus told Congress today that references to "Al Qaeda involvement" were removed from the CIA's talking point.

The White House then told the American people a lie by omission as the sensitive case erupted in the last week or so of the presidential campaign.

The question now is who took the Al Qaeda info out? I don't think there's any doubt that it was political operatives from the White House, probably the president himself.

More work needs to be done, of course, before we can say that for certain. But just as suspicion began to fall directly on Richard Nixon about his link to the Watergate break-in, suspicion now begins to fall on Barack Obama and the lie on Benghazi.

And make no doubt about it: Benghazi was a lie. People died. Time to get to the truth behind this mess.
