It’s official: U2 tour stops here Oct. 23

 For U2 fans awaiting word on when they can see their favorite band, it’s time to get out the datebook. The 360° tour will stop at Sam Boyd Stadium Oct. 23.
 Promoter Live Nation announced the final 2009 concert dates for the tour on Tuesday.
 Tickets are set to go on sale in Las Vegas at 10 a.m. April 18, and are expected to be available through www.UNLVtickets.com, livenation.com or by calling (877) 522-8499. Additional information, including ticket prices, were not available Tuesday afternoon.
  Since the world tour was announced March 9, more than 2.5 million tickets have been sold in North America and Europe, according to the promoter.
