Joy Behar vs. Sharron Angle

In absentia, Sharron Angle provided the match Tuesday that ignited the latest flareup on "The View." It climaxed with Joy Behar calling out Angle as a "bitch" and that she is "going to hell."

The hosts erupted after viewing the latest Angle commercial attacking Sen. Harry Reid on immigration. It's the one that includes images of tough-looking young men contrasted with blonde schoolchildren and distressed white family members in a way that has drawn criticism for its racial overtones.

"Yikes, it's like a Hitler youth commercial," was Behar's first reaction, and then the conversation took off from there, as readers can see in the clip below.

Later in the day on her own show (below), Behar played the 30-second commercial again, and called Angle a "race-baiter."

Reaction from Angle? A spokesman said she was laughing all the way to the bank.

According to spokesman Jarrod Agen, Angle sent a flower arrangement to Behar this morning, along with a note that said:

    Joy,
Raised 150K online yesterday-- thanks for your help.
    Sincerely, Sharron Angle.

Agen said the campaign's finance director paid for the flowers out of her own pocket.
