August 20, 2011 - 1:01 am
KB Home is supporting Whitney Elementary school with a special event. Now through Aug. 31, the homebuilder is donating $5 to the school for every person who visits any KB Las Vegas area community.
All communities are open today and Sunday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. To find the nearest location, visit kbhome.com or call 888-KB-HOMES.
Tour model homes and learn more about KB Home's Built to Order approach, as well as its energy-efficient construction.
Homeshoppers have a choice of five floor plans ranging from 1,705 to 2,568 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, 2½ or three baths and two-car garages.
The one- and two-story homes are designed with great-room living areas opening to outdoors with optional covered patios.
One of the two-story plans allows for a downstairs bedroom suite and other options, including second-floor balconies, built-in tech desks and luxury master baths with spa tubs, dual sinks and other upgrades.
Kingwood Crest in Summerlin offers five floor plans ranging from 1,704 to 2,712 square feet. Plans include as many as five bedrooms, three baths and two-car garages.
All KB homes in Las Vegas have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star and NV Energy's Energy Plus certifications.
Features like programmable thermostats, radiant-barrier roofing, low-e windows and efficient heating and cooling systems all help keep household utility bills low.
To better illustrate the advantages of such a home, KB Home includes its Energy Performance Guide in all of its new homes. Similar to an mpg sticker on cars, the EPG provides homebuyers with estimated monthly electric and gas costs for their new home, as well as valuable information on the home's relative energy efficiency, when compared to a typical new home or resale home.
