KB Home turns 50, celebrates sales
KB Home is celebrating 50 years of home building this month.
In celebration of its half-century anniversary, the builder is offering two promotional incentives with the chance to win $50,000.
Home shoppers are invited to visit any of the more than 25 KB Home communities throughout the Las Vegas valley this month for its "$50 Moves You In" and "50% Off All Home Options" promotions.
While at a KB Home community, visitors can register to win $50,000 in the builder's nationwide sweepstakes that ends June 17.
Founded in 1957 by Donald Kaufman and Eli Broad, the company, originally called Kaufman and Broad, built its first community in the suburbs of Detroit, Mich.
Now KB Home is building neighborhoods in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin. In addition to its U.S. communities, KB Home's majority-owned subsidiary, Kaufman & Broad S.A., is one of the largest home builders in France.
In 1965, KB was the first home builder to start a mortgage company. In 1977, the company reached the 100,000 homes mark.
The builder's Home Studio is located off Interstate 15 in Las Vegas. The 22,000-square-foot center combines design and mortgage consultation services. The facility is located at 7440 Dean Martin Drive, Suite 201, just south of the Warm Springs Road intersection.
