Lamborghini, Audi share sales lot
The Findlay Automotive Group and Audi Henderson have added Lamborghini to the portfolio of brands they offer in Southern Nevada. The 58-year-strong company turned to local veteran Tom Brazill to anchor the business.
With 31 years of experience in the exotic segment, Brazill states, "I sold my first Lamborghini Countach in the late 1980s, and I am proud to say that the current model line is superior in quality and performance, and yet still true to the brand."
The current lineup includes the latest, and very last, version of the all-wheel-drive Murcielago. The LP670-4 SuperVeloce boasts a ground rumbling 670 horsepower V-12 powerplant. In the very small numbers that it will be produced, it will be considered the most collectible of the run. The Gallardo is truly an "everyday exotic," with its 560 horsepower V-10. The range includes a Coupe, Spyder and Balboni, a lightweight rear-wheel-drive special edition named after their famous test driver.
"Lamborghini is a passionate brand. It immediately evokes an emotional response with its edgy look, and then it blows you away with its sound and feel. It truly is the most exotic driving and ownership experience even when compared to its peers," said Brazill.
"We estimate that there are more than 300 current owners in the Las Vegas area. With all of the vintage cars, new variations and special editions available, it is safe to say that there are not two identical cars in the valley."
The owner base is the strength of the brand in Findlay's decision to acquire the franchise. "Everyone knows that this is a small town at heart. Recognizing that, our mission is to provide the highest level of service to our local owners in order to ensure our long-term success. The investment in our high-tech service facility alone is second to none. The shop was even designed with in-ground lifts and alignment rack, anticipating these low-slung exotics."
Findlay's biggest asset, however, is the experienced team it has put together. Audi Henderson's service director, Erich Christjansen, sought out Nate Luy, a fully factory trained and certified technician. He also landed Lamborghini guru Brett Geisen, known nationally by owners and industry insiders as a parts and service expert. The team is rounded out with local detailing expert Eric Williams, who has previously done consulting work for Lamborghini on its final finishing process at the factory in Sant'Agata, Italy.
The architect of the project is general manager and partner Jim DiGuilio, a lifetime car enthusiast who spends a lot of time on the track.
"I had a poster of a Lamborghini Countach on my wall as a young boy; that image has never left me," DiGuilio said. "There are very few automobile manufacturers that instill that type of awe and desire as Lamborghini."
Lamborghini Las Vegas and Audi Henderson are located at 7740 Eastgate Road, just east of U.S. Highway 95 in the Valley Automall. Construction on a dedicated Lamborghini showroom should be completed in the fall of 2010. You can check out current inventory at www.lamborghinilasvegas.com or call 982-4600.
