Police are searching today for Billie Jean James, a Las Vegas woman who was last seen at 1 p.m. Thursday at her home in the southern reaches of the valley near the M Resort.

James is listed as 5-feet-8, 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She is a white woman with a medium complexion.

James, 67, suffered a stroke approximately three months ago. The stroke’s effect on her memory is unknown. Thus far, a check of local hospitals has revealed no “Jane Does.” Anyone with information on the disappearance of James is asked to contact Metro police.

James was scheduled to leave Las Vegas for a vacation to Hawaii with her husband, Bill James, on Friday.
