Latest on ugly Horsford shakedown

Here's the latest story on state Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford's attempt to sell access to his Democrat controlled Nevada Legislature. Each story gets uglier and uglier.

Sen. Horsford says he didn't talk to other Democrats in key committee chairs before sending the shakedown letter. If that's true, then the next Democratic legislative caucus ought to be interesting. You gotta wonder how much confidence they'll have in a guy who would do something like that. This stunt goes beyond judgment and to character. Do Democrats want a guy with that kind of character as a "leader"?

In the meanwhile, I hope the public will be able to see exactly who Horsford shook down in this scam, even though he now pledges to return the money. We need to see that because Horsford says he and Democrats are going to tax the heck out of Nevadans in the next session. It will be interesting to see who gets targeted for special treatment in his tax increases -- those that donated, ("friends") or those that didn't ("foes").
