Lennar aims for rural style with White Horse

Lennar created White Horse South for home buyers who desire a rural approach to life, according to Lennar sales agent Sylvia Levy.

The gated community is located in the northwestern valley at North Torrey Pines Drive, just north of Elkhorn Road. It offers home sites of one-third acre to more than 16,000 square feet with side-yard space for RV or boat parking.

Five two-story residences range from 3,911 to 5,037 square feet. The homes include three-car garages. Prices start in the $700,000s.

As a Lennar community, every residence includes upgraded stainless-steel appliances, cabinetry with crown molding and granite kitchen countertops. Driveways and walkways are finished in paverstone, and stone facing accents highlight selected home elevations.

"Even in our ultra-luxury communities, like White Horse South, our home buyers appreciate all of the fabulous upgrades that we include at no additional cost," Levy said. "It has a lot to do with the quality and attention to detail that are a part of every Lennar home, no matter what the price range."

White Horse South is also an Energy Star-certified neighborhood.

One of the newest models now showing is the Bel Air, a design that began originally as a single-story.

"This intriguing 3,911-square-foot design with four bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms features the majority of its square footage on the main floor," Levy said. "It's a single-story home with an incredible mezzanine level featuring an extreme game room, a full bathroom, a closet and private veranda. Just imagine all of the possible uses for this space and it is really amazing."

Additional home designs at the community include homes ranging from 4,459 to 5,037 square feet. A three-car garage is standard for all homes.

The Pinehurst features five bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. A study is located off the foyer and the design also includes a main-floor bedroom with interior bath. The second floor presents a second den or study. The master retreat, which dominates the entire length at the rear of the home, is accented by a private veranda that overlooks the backyard.

The Turtle Bay features a main-floor master suite that is two stories and has a staircase that leads to an open library, which is located on the second floor overlooking the suite. The 5,000-square-foot design includes five bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.

The 5,037-square-foot Pebble Beach features four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and two laundry rooms. The residence features a walled courtyard entry with a fireplace. The main floor houses an open great room living area, with a defined formal dining room. The second floor is dominated by a 60-foot-by-90-foot bonus room/game room. Also, on this floor are three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a second laundry room, storage and a large separate media room.

"These are extraordinary homes that really defy easy description or explanation," Levy said. "They need to be experienced. Even a photograph does not convey the sheer size and impact of these elegant residences."

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Jones Boulevard and exit north to Elkhorn Road. Travel west to Torrey Pines Drive and turn north to the new model homes.

The model homes and sales offices are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at 3 p.m. For more information, call 395-6363 or visit lennar.com.
