Lennar does Sierra Ranch times two

Lennar chose The Villages at Sierra Ranch as the site for two North Las Vegas communities -- Coldwater Ranch and Walnut Grove -- both located on Tropical Parkway.

The master plan encompasses 90 acres that includes four grassy, green community parks with a total of 12 acres.

The parks feature soccer fields, sand volleyball courts and walking trails with exercise stations.

"This is a wonderful, family friendly environment for our communities," said Lennar Senior Vice President of sales, Roger Seaholm. "In addition to the many outdoor venues for kids of all ages, it's an unbeatable location with schools, shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby, and easy access to I-15."

Coldwater Ranch and Walnut Grove feature Energy Star homes. Prices start from the $200,000s.

Also standard are a washer and dryer and full window coverings throughout the home.

Coldwater Ranch, located at Tropical Parkway and North 5th Street, features floor plans ranging from the 1,678-square-foot single-story Dakota floor plan to the two-story Colorado model with 2,695 square feet.

"The Dakota is designed around an inviting great room that anchors the home," Seaholm said.

The plan includes four bedrooms and two baths, a dining nook and a two-car garage. The open kitchen offers excellent counter work area, a pantry and sliding doors to the rear patio.

The master suite is secluded and private providing elegant touches in the master bath that is accented by an oval garden tub, dual sinks and walk-in closet.

Two-story designs at Coldwater Ranch range from 2,403 to 2,695 square feet with four bedrooms, 21/2 to three baths and two-car garage.

The 2,403-square-foot Nevada floor plan features a covered patio. A large landing area, in lieu of a hallway, highlights the home's second floor.

The master suite offers an owner's retreat that opens directly to a private veranda. The laundry room is also located upstairs adjacent to the bedrooms.

The Big Sky home is a two-story design with 2,450 square-feet, four bedrooms, 23/4 baths and a two-car garage.

The main level is highlighted by an elegant covered porch entry, a formal living room, a formal dining room and a family room.

A fireplace is a standard feature and the kitchen is accented by bay windows that outline, and define, the informal dining nook.

A glass sliding door opens to the rear patio. Additional kitchen amenities include a generous walk-in pantry and convenient island. Also located on the main floor is a full bedroom and bath. The home's second floor offers a large loft, bedrooms two and three, the utility room, and a master suite with double door entry, car-window retreat and bath with an oversized walk-in wardrobe.

The Nevada design has a 2,403-square-foot floor plan with a family room. The home also includes a covered patio as a standard feature.

The two-story Colorado measures 2,695 square feet. The home also includes a full bedroom and bath in the main floor, and other notable features that include a covered rear patio and a two-car garage with storage space.

Walnut Grove, at Tropical Parkway and Commerce Street, offers three two-story floor plans that measure from 2,217 to 2,530 square feet featuring three to four bedrooms, 21/2 to 23/4 baths and two-car garages.

Design highlights for the 2,217-square-foot Aspen include a great room with a fireplace and media niche, and a library on the main floor. The second floor features a loft.

The Carberry model is a split-level design that features 2,311 square feet with four bedrooms and 23/4 baths. The floor plan creates a variety of living options for home buyers, featuring two bedrooms on each level.

A tech center and the laundry room are on the first level. Glass sliding doors open out to the home's backyard.

On the second floor, or upper level, is the great room living area with dining room and kitchen.

The master suite is also on the second floor.

The Hawthorn model is also a great room design with 2,530 square feet and features a bedroom and a 3/4 bath on the first floor.

A loft and a bonus room are highlights of the home's second floor.

To visit the Welcome Home Center at Coldwater Ranch, take Interstate 15 north to Craig Road, exit west to North 5th Street, then north to Tropical Parkway.

To visit Walnut Grove exit west on Craig Road to Commerce Street, then north on Commerce to Tropical Parkway.

Model homes and sales office are open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when they close at 3 p.m.
