Lennar invites buyers to click on ‘live chat’

The Lennar Corp. recently became the first major national home builder to add a "live chat" feature to its Web site.

Visitors to Lennar.com can simply click on a link that takes them to a live chat page for a one-on-one conversation with a consultant who can answer questions.

"Now, visitors to our Lennar Web site can chat in real time with a knowledgeable, professional online community consultant who can answer their home buying questions," said Roger Seaholm, senior vice president of sales. "Lennar has added an immediacy factor that is in-tune with today's fast-paced world. We've responded to the needs of our customers by providing a simple, fast, convenient way to get answers. The Web site represents a great opportunity for us to connect with our potential customers."

Lennar is a Fortune 500 company with more than 800 communities nationwide. The builder offers homes of different sizes and pricing designed for first-time, move-up and luxury buyers.

Lennar's established a name for its customer service philosophy: "Everything You Want, Everything You Need."

"Lennar's program benefits the home buyer in so many ways," Seaholm said. "First and foremost, we did our research. We asked thousands of customers which features and upgrades they wanted most in their homes and then we simply included them. By simplifying and standardizing what we purchased we were able to work with some of the nation's most respected name brand suppliers of appliances, lighting, flooring and more. This allowed us to develop business relationships that reduced our costs and gave us the opportunity to pass these extraordinary savings on to our customers throughout the country.

"The addition of the live chat feature on the Web site is just one more way that we can make the homeownership process easier and more enjoyable," Seaholm said.

Homes are available from the $200,000s to the $700,000s.
