Lennar offers first look at Mockingbird

Lennar unveiled new model homes Saturday at Mockingbird in The Willows, offering buyers their first glimpse of the new Henderson neighborhood.

"We are thrilled to announce that we are now making the transition from an interest list to actual home sales at Mockingbird," sales agent Linda Coleman said. "With our prime location here at The Willows, even our interest list generated quite a stir. So we anticipate very brisk summer sales."

Mockingbird's features include a gated entry, community park with walkways and picnic areas. Homes are priced from the $200,000s.

The Willows is a master-planned community located at Gibson Road and Galleria Parkway, just east of U.S. Highway 95 at Sunset Road.

Lennar offers two other communities at The Willows. Meadowlark offers three two-story floor plans measuring from 1,660 to 2,194 square feet and featuring homes with three to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages.

Nightingale includes three two-story home designs from 2,047 to 2,525 square feet with four to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to four baths and two-car garages. Both are priced from the $300,000s.

At the new Mockingbird Welcome Home Center, visitors have an opportunity to preview all four of the neighborhood's model homes.

The two-story designs range from 1,484 to 1,900 square feet and feature three to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages.

"Mockingbird, Nightingale and Meadowlark homes come ready for move-in with all the essentials and lots of luxury-style amenities -- a part of Lennar's Everything you want. Everything you need. program," Coleman said. Standard features include all appliances with an upgraded refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, washer and gas dryer, and window coverings throughout.

Other standard features in Lennar homes are comprehensive prewiring for telephone, cable and ceiling fans, ceramic- tile entries, raised-panel cabinetry and cultured marble vanity tops in the baths.

All three neighborhoods at The Willows are Energy Star-certified homes, built and insulated according to U.S. Energy Department guidelines to retain heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. Owners of Energy Star homes pay lower power bills and help save the environment by reducing the demand for electricity, Coleman said.

Each of the floor plans at Mockingbird has its own highlights. The 1,475-square-foot Indio has an extended pantry in the kitchen and a second-floor family room.

The 1,530-square-foot Willows floor plan offers a U-shaped island kitchen, fireplace in the living room, second-floor master suite and a two-car garage. A loft/hall area features built-in cabinetry.

The Red Bluff model features a formal living and dining room and a fireplace in 1,843 square feet. A family room is located on the second floor.

The 1,900-square-foot Calistoga is the largest floor plan. Its family room, located on the second floor, separates the master suite from bedrooms two and three.

Community exteriors at all The Willows neighborhoods include porch entries, two-color paint motifs and concrete tile roofs. Selected elevations offer stone facing accents.

To visit the Welcome Home Center at The Willows, take U.S. Highway 95 to Sunset Road, exit east to Gibson Road, then north on Gibson to Capitan Way.

Models are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they close at 3 p.m. For information on Mockingbird, call 856-0333; Meadowlark 604-7315; Nightingale 273-8922.
