Lennar to host event, celebrate 55th anniversary across valley

This year, Lennar, one of the nation's largest home builders, will celebrate its 55th anniversary, marking a major milestone in the company's long-standing history.

To help celebrate this important event, Lennar neighborhoods in the Las Vegas area have slashed prices on all homes for the month of January, and are offering special incremental incentives during the celebration today and Sunday. Buyers also can qualify for an additional $10,000 off the final purchase price by simply mentioning this article, according to Jeff Galindo, Lennar Las Vegas vice president of sales.

"We feel honored that we have been able to serve the needs of homebuyers throughout the country for so many years and will continue to do so for years to come," Galindo said. "To show our utmost appreciation, we are offering incredible incentives during this weekend's ... 55th anniversary celebration."

The celebration will begin today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at several of their new-home neighborhoods throughout the area.

Founded in 1954 as F&R Builders, headquartered in Miami, Fla., Lennar Corp. began building their reputation. In 1971, F&R became a public company under the corporate banner of Lennar and has since grown to become one of the nation's leading home builders, according to Galindo. The builder is creating neighborhoods in 16 states.

According to Galindo, "We call 55 years of home-building experience 'peace of mind.' We have long distinguished ourselves as a builder who makes the process easy by simply including everything as standard.

"Our continued motto: 'Everything You Want, Everything You Need, That's the Logic of Lennar', is what we hold strong to today."

As Lennar celebrates its anniversary in 2009, it is not only celebrating the company's longevity and solid reputation, but its future of strengthening its role of leading innovator within the home-building industry, Galindo said.

"The future of Lennar is really exciting," he said. "We are constantly keeping our finger on the pulse of new trends in home building -- from building cutting-edge homes to new and exciting sales and marketing initiatives, we are taking the company to the next level of innovation in home building and providing homebuyers with even more choices and outlets than ever before.

"Buy your home today from a builder who will be here tomorrow. Our company has always been invested in our homebuyers and will continue to provide only the most superior care, quality and attention to detail that they deserve."

Extended sales office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. For a list of participating neighborhoods, visit Lennar.com, or call 877-260-0507.
