Lennar to host grand opening
Lennar will open San Gabriel in Mountain's Edge today. The neighborhood features five all-new floor plans and three new models that were built in the last 19 days.
The grand opening event will feature free barbecue burgers, hot dogs and drinks from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The three model homes are decorated by west elm (a Williams-Sonoma company). The grand opening event will also include a drawing in the Great Model Build Contest in which one winner will receive a $2,500 west elm gift card.
The three model homes were built in 19 days as part of a company challenge to build three all-new model homes in record time. The neighborhood is located in southwestern Las Vegas on Gomer Road, just east of Durango Drive in Mountain's Edge.
"We had never before attempted to build three model homes in 19 days," said Lennar Las Vegas Division President Jeremy Parness. "We proved to ourselves and to discerning Las Vegas new home shoppers, that we were up to the task. These all-new models are amazing in quality, livability and value."
As part of this model home construction project, Lennar conducted a social media documentary of the construction process.
Each day, beginning July 19, Lennar posted three pictures of the models at San Gabriel on their Facebook page. In one of the daily pictures was hidden a word in the photo. All those who correctly identified the 19-word phrase were entered into a drawing that concludes today.
According to Roger Seaholm, director of sales for Lennar Las Vegas, this will be one of Lennar's most anticipated grand openings of the year.
"We are thrilled about the incredible response we have received to this neighborhood and the daily Facebook page contest," Seaholm said.
"We have added a record number of new followers to our Facebook page and the number of entrants correctly naming the phrase is expected to exceed even our highest expectations. The models will be completely outfitted by west elm and promise to be some of the most attractive in the valley."
"This grand opening event is a culmination of an incredible amount of planning and work by the entire Lennar Las Vegas team," Parness said. "I could not be any prouder of my team nor the exceptional result shown in these three model homes. They look great and are priced to deliver unprecedented value."
The new neighborhood will feature five new floor plans ranging from 1,564 to 2,403 square feet. Home prices will start in the $150,000s. All of the floor plans are brand new to Las Vegas.
Several incentives, introductory pricing and special financing rates through Universal American Mortgage Co. will be offered during the event.
Lennar offers 17 neighborhoods in Mountain's Edge, Providence, North Las Vegas and Henderson. Prices start in the $130,000s and floor plans range from 1,286 to 5,078 square feet.
