Lennar touts Escalante, Tuscany Ridge in the southwest

Lennar is selling homes in two neighborhoods, Escalante and Tuscany Ridge, within the Mountain's Edge master plan in the southwestern valley.

Under the builder's "Everything you want, Everything you need" program, Lennar provides, at no additional cost, amenities such as a complete stainless-steel appliance package with upgraded refrigerator with icemaker, granite countertops, full window coverings and a washer and dryer. Prices start from the $200,000s.

The Energy Star-certified neighborhoods provide environmentally friendly, cost-efficient technology for homeowners.

Sean Highley, a new homeowner at Tuscany Ridge, said he chose his home for its open floor plan and south valley location.

"I had been considering a resale home, but my Realtor suggested that I preview Lennar communities," Highley said. "We toured model homes in the northwest at Barrington in Providence, and the San Gabriel floor plan really got my attention. With 38 communities all over the valley, we were able to find the same floor plan at Lennar's Tuscany Ridge in Mountain's Edge. Just the floor plan I wanted, in the south valley area where I wanted to live."

The San Gabriel design is the largest plan offered at Tuscany Ridge. The two-story home features four bedrooms, a loft and three baths in 2,702 square feet.

"As soon as you walk in the front door you feel the openness of the home," Highley said. "The two-story vaulted ceilings and the loft area overlooking the main floor is really impressive."

A partial wall with open cutout separates the living room from the family room. The family room side includes a large recessed media niche, a design element that Highley described as one of his favorites in the house.

"The balcony off the master suite was another big feature for me," Highley said.

The home site backs to an 80-foot-wide Mountain's Edge paseo.

According to Lennar, amenities included in the base price include the following: granite kitchen countertops, window coverings, washer and dryer and all stainless-steel appliances, including the refrigerator. Highley called the package of included features "an obvious major selling point."

"Lennar's included features saved me a lot of time and a lot of money," he said.

Tuscany Ridge presents four residences in both single- and two-story layouts. Designs include decorator high-wall windows, partial-wall cutouts that reveal glimpses of other living spaces, fireplaces, staircases, and decorative ledges and shelves for artwork, pots, plants and florals. Floor plans measure from 1,749 to almost 2,702 square feet.

Escalante, located at Mountain's Edge Parkway and Buffalo Drive, offers two-story homes ranging from 1,660 to 2,161 square feet. The designs provide storage space, master suites and an upstairs bonus room in the largest plan. Master suites feature a walk-in closet, garden tub, cultured marble vanity, designer faucets, ceramic tile surrounds for the shower and tub and mirrored wardrobe closets. The home also has a covered porch leading to the front door and ceramic tile entry flooring.

Developed by the Focus Property Group, Mountain's Edge is a 500-acre community offering open spaces interlaced with parks and trails, along with views of the nearby mountains.

To visit Lennar communities at Mountain Edge, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road, turn west to Buffalo Drive, south on Buffalo and follow the signs.

Sales office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they close at 3 p.m.
