Lexus of Las Vegas to host vet golf event

Lexus of Las Vegas is all teed up in support of the Warrior Brotherhood Motorcycle Club of Las Vegas’ second annual Vets Helping Vets Golf Tournament May 3 at Wildhorse Golf Club, 2100 Warm Springs Road in Henderson. Funds from the event go to aid and assist veterans’ charities throughout Southern Nevada.

Lexus of Las Vegas is offering any participant the chance to win a two-year lease of a new ES350 sedan if he or she sinks a hole-in-one on the fourth hole.

“The only requirements are that men must hit from the 175-yard tee and women from the 135-yard tee,” said Bill Garness, general manager. “This is a great opportunity to show support for our veterans who have served our country when we needed them … Many of our veterans return home facing financial hardships and may require special medical and emotional help. So now it’s our chance to show how much we appreciate their commitment to securing our freedoms and way of life.”

Cost is $75 per player, which includes green fees, a cart, range balls and lunch. Format is a four-person scramble entered as a foursome or placement by event staff. Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Tee sponsorships with signage of company logo and business name are available for $150 each. Mulligans may be purchased for $5 each. Raffle prizes are available with a $2 ticket purchase, or three tickets for $5. Additional prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place scores, longest drive and closest to the pin.
