Lexus to support charity race/walk

Lexus of Las Vegas employees are lacing up their running shoes to support the Candlelighters SHINE for Superhero 5k and 1-mile race with Chet Buchanan on Sept. 13 at Exploration Park in the Mountain’s Edge master-planned community.

The race and walk begin and end at Exploration Park, 9600 S. Buffalo Drive. Courses will weave throughout the 3,500-acre Mountain’s Edge community.

Food and refreshments, activities including raffle prizes, superhero bounce houses, a children’s play area, children’s art, an awards ceremony, booths and exhibitors will also be featured.

Some popular superheroes will be there to meet the children.

The event helps raise money to support those affected by childhood cancer and teach the public about the cancer’s effect on the many valley children and families.

Race packets can be picked up at the Candlelighters office at 8990 Spanish Ridge Ave., Suite 100, Las Vegas.
