Local homes feature Energy Star

A member of Nevada Energy Star partners, Warmington Homes, which has been building in Nevada for 10 years, offers Energy Star-rated homes in seven Las Vegas communities, including Brighton Village, York Village, Mandolin, Emerson, Provence, Provence Estates and Carlisle.

"Building Energy Star-rated homes is part of Warmington Homes' commitment to its buyers and the environment. Warmington is dedicated to maximizing the efficiency of our homes to reduce homeowners' energy costs, while preserving environmental resources," said Amy Thill, the home builder's vice president of sales and marketing.

"We are committed to building new homes and neighborhoods designed to meet the ever-changing needs of our buyers. As the high cost of energy and the health of our environment continue to be of great concern for many consumers, we are pleased to partner with the EPA to bring energy-efficient homes to Las Vegas."

Nevada Energy Star Partners is a coalition of Southern Nevada home builders, developers, retailers, mortgage providers, energy consultants and local utilities promoting energy conservation, which also protects the environment.

Energy Star-rated homes meet building guidelines for energy efficiency set forth by the EPA. The homes include a variety of energy-efficient features, such as effective insulation, high-performance windows, tight construction and ducts, efficient heating and cooling equipment and Energy Star-qualified lighting and appliances.
