Lost loves reunite in ‘Beautiful Disaster’

During one of the most important meetings of her interior designing career, Mia Wells receives a phone call that turns her life upside down.

A man from her past has re-emerged and needs her now as she has never been needed before, but can she sacrifice her current life to return to the past?

In her debut novel, “Beautiful Disaster,” author Laura Spinella tells one woman’s story of a lost love found and the sacrifices that must be made in order to reclaim that love once and for all.

Mia first met Peyton Flynn McDermott when she was attending the University of Georgia in Athens, and it was lust at first sight for both of them. Flynn was a dark, mysterious biker who could touch Mia’s very soul, but who had a horrendous past that haunted his dreams. Mia desperately wanted to heal his wounds, but as hard as they both tried, love wasn’t enough to overcome doubts and suspicions. After a glorious summer of love, Flynn drifted out of Mia’s life but never out of her heart.

Now, 13 years later, Mia receives a phone call from her best friend, Roxanne, that Flynn has been admitted to the hospital in grave condition after a terrible motorcycle accident. He might not live. Mia rushes to his side, pushing her business, her day-to-day life, even her husband aside to be there for Flynn as he fights to live. But will Flynn remember her when he awakes from the medically induced coma, and will he want her back in his life, after all they went through before?

“Beautiful Disaster” is a heart-wrenching love story that promotes the message that the power of love never fades away, it always lives inside each of us. Spinella crafts a beautiful story, traveling back to Mia and Flynn’s past and seamlessly returning to the future as Mia waits for Flynn to wake up, and she neatly ties together their tale with heart-felt romance and gentle sensuality.

For a debut novel, “Beautiful Disaster” shines like a pearl, and I, for one, can’t wait for Spinella’s next book.
