Macau newspaper reacts to Jacobs-Sands filing

In Macau as in Las Vegas, the movements of casino industry titans always make news.

So it should come as no surprise that the wrongful termination lawsuit filed by former Las Vegas Sands Corp. executive Steve Jacobs is generating interest from the Macau Daily Times. In a filing late last week in Clark County District Court, Jacobs accused Sands executives including CEO and company founder Sheldon Adelson of questionable acts. The company has denied any wrongdoing and is vigorously defending the litigation.

What has caught the eye of the Macau journalists is the Jacobs accusation that company officials have transferred at least $68 million by wire or courier from Macau to Las Vegas.
