MacDonald Highlands offers camp

DragonRidge Country Club, the private golf course within the Henderson development of MacDonald Highlands, is offering summer day camp for youngsters in kindergarten through fifth grade. The camp was so successful last year that DragonRidge decided to make it a featured amenity for country club members.

An experienced camp director and team of counselors will coordinate activities and special events again this year. Daily activities include swimming, golf instruction from a DragonRidge professional, and arts and craft lessons.

DragonRidge Country Club, the heart of MacDonald Highlands, is a private, 18-hole championship golf course. The stone and glass clubhouse of DragonRidge features a formal dining room and lounge, grill and lounge, exercise facility, swimming pool, golf pro shop and a brand new, 10,000-square-foot ballroom seating more than 300 guests. Social membership to the clubhouse is provided upon application approval.

MacDonald Highlands has two separate entrances featuring $6 million worth of guardhouses, granite cobblestones, Canary Island palm trees and desert landscaping. Both entryways are within one mile of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.

The MacDonald Highlands development spans 1,200 acres of mountainous terrain incorporating DragonRidge Country Club and 10 acres of parks. MacDonald Highlands has four custom home neighborhoods under development, each featuring its own distinct topography and views. These custom lots range from one-half acre to three acres. Prices range from $850,000 to $6 million.

The information center is located at 1730 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway. To get there, take I-215 east to Valle Verde Drive and travel south to the corner of Valle Verde and Horizon Ridge.

The sales office is open seven days a week. For more information or to schedule a private tour of MacDonald Highlands, call 614-9100.
