Man dead after lighting firework strapped to head

A man is dead after a failed firework stunt.
According to Maine officials, a young man instantly died after he put a firework mortar on his head and lit it.
USA Today reports that 22-year-old Devon Staples had been drinking with friends at home in Calais, Maine, on Saturday night.
It is the first death that officials are attributing to fireworks since the state legalized them in 2012.
