ManhattanWest to open at South Strip
April 14, 2007 - 9:00 pm
ManhattanWest is Gemstone Development's newest project designed to bring urban living to the Las Vegas Valley's South Strip.
Holding its grand opening, April 21 from noon to 4 p.m., the project, located on Russell Road west of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, the mixed-use project will be comprised of 700 residences, 150,000 square feet of office and 40,000 square feet of retail space on 20 landscaped acres.
"One of the best things about urban living is the convenience and time-savings of having everything close by," said Alex Edelstein, Gemstone's chief executive officer.
"At ManhattanWest you'll find more than 40,000 square feet of on-site shops, including a coffee house and wine bar all within walking distance. Right above those shops you'll find 150,000 square feet of office space available for sale or lease," Edelstein said.
The residential complex will feature a barbecue pavilion, grass volleyball court, neighborhood coffeehouse and clubhouse lounge, 100 feet above the ground floor.
A 7,000-square-foot fitness center will feature free weights, cardio equipment and television and touch-screen Internet at each machine. In addition, the facility will feature spa treatment rooms, sauna, 25-meter lap pool and the ManhattanMD -- a dedicated on-site medical practice focused for residents.
The architectural centerpiece of the mixed-use project will be the Element House. The building's nine stories of curved glass and steel will house 73 luxury units and the development's kitchen, fitness center, game room, theater, guest units, business center and other club facilities for residents.
The ninth floor Sky Lounge at Element House will offer panoramic views of the Las Vegas Valley from the mountains to the Strip, according to the developer. The roof deck area will feature two lounge pools.
"We have spent three years designing ManhattanWest, setting as our standard a requirement that we deliver something that was accessibly priced, but that delivered services and lifestyle far beyond anything we or anyone else has offered in Las Vegas," Edelstein said. "Our innovative features, such as our ManhattanTransfer errand service and ManhattanMD on-site doctor, redefine what a condominium project can do to improve the quality of life of its residents."
ManhattanWest's grand opening will take places at the development's sales center at 9121 W. Russell Road. The event will feature model tours, food, drinks and live entertainment.
