MEDIA: Channel 8 Forecast Includes New Meteorologist
Whither the Weatherman?
KLAS-TV, Channel 8 has finally found one to replace chief meteorologist Gina Cancelliere, who decided to shift from TV to full-time motherhood. The station has hired Darren Miller, who joins the staff Jan. 12 as evening meteorologist. A grad of California State University, as well as the meteorology program at Mississippi State University, Miller moves to Vegas from his last gig as morning weather dude at WXIN in Indianapolis. Elsewhere on his resume, Miller explained the weekend weather at WNCN in Raleigh, N.C., and KESQ in Palm Desert. He began his climatological climb as a fill-in at Santa Barbara’s KEYT.
Welcome, Darren. Sorry you missed the snow, babe. But don’t worry. There’s actual weather here. Rumor has it that it gets kinda hot in the summer. Or so we hear.
