Model homes at Tuscan Cliffs showcase pools, spas and elaborate water features

Tuscan Cliffs, a semi-custom home development at Southern Highlands, offers water features throughout four model homes to showcase the array of design possibilities.

"At Tuscan Cliffs, we welcome summer in style with unique pools, spas and water features," sales agent Michael Goeth said. "We have water features designed for every personality, with lagoons, waterfalls, modern architecture and grand-scale designs. If you can dream it, we can build it."

The luxury home community built by Pacific Southwest Development is known for its commitment to indoor/outdoor living. Each model features disappearing glass doors, which virtually open an entire wall to courtyards or rear patios, depending on the design.

"They bring the sounds and smells of summer, like splashing water and steak on the grill, indoors. All the while remaining in the comfort of your home," Goeth said.

In the Villa de Franchesca model, the pool and spa can be viewed from the family room, kitchen, patio and cabana. It includes a rain shower between the patio and pool, a stepped waterfall and stone steps leading into the main pool.

In the Villa de Gabriella model, natural stone is used to surround the pool and spa with faux stone boulders completing the look. The natural stone look is continued with a slide above an underwater grotto near the spa.

"This pool even has a swim-up bar with stools inside the pool," Goeth said. "A bar area with the same natural stone countertop completes the effect and offers a great entertaining venue."

In the Villa de Giovanni design, the spa takes center stage directly outside the family room.

"This home's pool and spa have a very modern design," Goeth said. "The spa is square and the elongated pool has sharp, modern angles. Three staggered sheer-descent waterfalls with the same modern flair add to the striking effect of this feature."

And just in time for summer, every home at Tuscan Cliffs is offered with an outdoor kitchen that includes a grill, refrigerator and granite countertops.

Ranging from 4,328 to 6,001 square feet, Tuscan Cliffs' semi-custom homes provide buyers an opportunity to design a custom home without the inconveniences and delays usually associated with custom home building.

More than 50 configurations are available among the four base models. Each offers a master suite with a separate retreat, an extensive rear patio and central courtyard.

All of Tuscan Cliffs' home sites measure at least one-quarter acre. Premium lots, including some with views of the valley and others that are oversized, are available.

Among thousands of available options are home theater systems, elevators, wine cellars and grottos, custom ceiling treatments, pools, outdoor fireplaces and water features.

In addition, each residence qualifies as an Energy Star home, saving owners on heating and cooling expenses while providing quieter, more environmentally friendly homes.

Base prices start at just over $1 million.

Residents will receive a one-year social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval, according to Goeth. The club includes a social calendar, spa, pool and other facilities.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west. Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, turn left and follow the signs.

Office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m.
