Montana senator sees little support for portion of health care bill

Ok, so Sen. Reid spoke with President Obama and Rep. Pelosi on health care, and seemed pretty confident congress will get something done on the issue.

But did he speak with Max Baucus, D-Mont.?

The Hill reports Baucus isn't so keen on the public option:

"Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., said the draft of his panel's health care bill released today doesn't include a public-option component for one sole reason — a lack of Senate support, either in his committee or the chamber as a whole. "It would not pass the full Senate," Baucus told The Hill when asked why his draft prefers insurance co-ops. "There are not enough votes in the Senate for a public option."
