Monterey condos to be auctioned

Real Estate Disposition Corp., a national real estate auction firm, will auction 45 condominium homes located at Monterey in the Las Vegas Country Club Aug. 16 at Palace Station Hotel and Casino, 2411 W. Sahara Ave. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with the auction starting at 11 a.m.

"This once in a lifetime event will be a great opportunity for buyers to gain ownership in one of Las Vegas' premier communities," said Keith McLane, president of REDC's builder division.

The Monterey condos that will be auctioned measure as much as 1,800 square feet and have been previously valued up to $516,400. Starting bids on the properties will begin as low as $39,000. Financing as low as 3 percent down with Federal Housing Authority approval will be available.

"These are lovely, contemporary condos in an ideal and historic location," McLane said. "It's a unique chance to buy an exclusive residence in this community at attractive auction prices. The Monterey condos are located east of the Las Vegas Strip. The sales office, located at 2838 Loveland Drive, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

To visit Monterey from the Las Vegas Strip, take Sahara Avenue east. Turn right on Paradise Road and left on Karen Avenue. Enter the community through the Las Vegas Country Club Estates gate on Karen Avenue, located between Paradise Road and Maryland Parkway. The attendant at the gate will give directions to the sales center.
