MORNING LINE: If it’s any solace, Atlantic City is hurting, too

A couple decades ago, gambling neophyte Atlantic City was the butt of many Las Vegas lounge jokes. Nowadays, many top casino executives in Las Vegas have experience on the Boardwalk.

Like Las Vegas, Atlantic City is hurting miserably, and profits are dropping faster than a diving horse.

“After 28 years of growth, Atlantic City’s gambling proceeds are down for the second time in a row,” writes Terrence Dopp of Bloomberg News.
