MORNING LINE: Reid reloading for 2010

The Review-Journal’s Molly Ball covers more ground than any political reporter in Nevada these days, and in today’s newspaper she gives us a glimpse of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s game plan for 2010.

It’s no secret Republicans at the national and state level hate Reid and want him out, and rumors have flown for months that political personalities the size of Mitt Romney might be coaxed into taking up residency and taking on the Senator from Searchlight.

I am guessing there will be at least one stalking horse Republican in the race to attempt to mug Reid while another candidate of higher profile, portfolio, and bankroll waits offstage. One thing is certain: It’s going to take more than a rich know-it-all to knock off Reid.
