MORNING LINE: Selby will be sorely missed
City Manager Doug Selby announced Thursday he’s leaving his post to pursue other interests. The bottom line is, Selby’s steady hand will be missed around City Hall after six years in the manager’s office.
Mayor Oscar Goodman is likely the man who will miss Selby most. Goodman’s larger-than-life personality needed to be offset by Selby’s consummate competence and willingness to remain in the background and largely out of the limelight. They made a good team.
