MORNING LINE: Steve and Elaine split up – does anyone care?

  This is one of those stories that’s ideal for the tabloids, so it’s no surprise the intrepid celebrity scribes at the New York Post’s Page 6 column have reported the end of the marriage of Strip casino man Steve Wynn and wife Elaine.

  Having written a book about Wynn that included a relatively brief description of his appetites, it’s no shock word would surface that he’s involved with a younger woman.

  The couple’s first divorce had the look of a well-timed ruse. This break up appears to be real. Not that appearances aren’t deceiving around these parts.

  In Las Vegas, it’s essentially a one-day story.

  But, oh, the book Elaine could write if she chose to put pen to paper.
