Mountain Falls features value, leisure, location

A private aquatic center is the hub of summertime activity at the 1,050-acre Mountain Falls neighborhood in Pahrump, where residents can be found each weekend cooling off from the hot desert sun and enjoying some summer fun.

The facility is one of several resort-style amenities available to residents at the Mountain Falls master-planned community, located about 45 miles west of Las Vegas off State Route 160 in Pahrump.

"The aquatic center is a place where Mountain Falls residents can come to cool down and to relax. We have an adult pool and spa for people 18 years and older, and a separate family pool and a splash pad area, plus a sundeck. The splash pad feature is unique to Pahrump and it is very popular among families," said Josh Gaston, resident facility manager. "On the weekends we have been averaging 150 to 175 people per day in the pool area alone."

The outdoor aquatic center is open from April through September and provides golf course and mountain views. It is adjacent to a private community center. Access to both is included with the purchase of a home in Mountain Falls.

"The Mountain Falls aquatic and community centers are places where residents can relax and enjoy themselves. We offer them a place to fulfill their recreational and leisure needs with the pools, a private fitness center, and multipurpose room. We also have a lounge where residents can gather around a pool table, game table or big-screen TV," Gaston said.

"One of the reasons why people have purchased a home in Mountain Falls is because of the availability of these facilities."

Next to the community and aquatic centers is the Mountain Falls Grill Room, where residents as well as nonresidents can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The restaurant overlooks the public 18-hole Mountain Falls Golf Club. Annual, six-month, three-month and monthly golf passes are offered to residents at a discounted rate, which includes golf cart use and greens fees. Golf passes to nonresidents and daily greens fees are also available.

"Beginning in June, we are offering special summer daily greens fees which include the use of a golf cart," said Neil Pierce, director of golf. Residents and visitors can reserve tee times by telephone or online.

Three builders are constructing homes within six neighborhoods at Mountain Falls. Classic Homes' Paradiso neighborhood features five single- and two-story floor plans measuring up to 4,300 square feet and priced from the $400,000s.

Desert Wind Homes offers Tivoli, a single-story neighborhood with homes measuring from 1,938 to 2,097 square feet and priced from the $200,000s.

William Lyon Homes is developing the Cascata Ancora, Entrata, Bella Sera and Tramonto neighborhoods. Priced from the high $100,000s, the single-story designs measure from 1,157 to 2,897 square feet. To visit from Las Vegas, travel about 45 miles west on State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road) past Interstate 15. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right.

Sales offices are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when model homes open at noon. For more information, visit mountainfalls.com or call 866-468-3255.
