Mountain Falls gets physical in Pahrump

Mountain Falls, a 1,050-acre master-planned community in Pahrump, features a private community center. It is adjacent to the fairways of the Mountain Falls Golf Club.

"The center brings together residents of similar interests and is a great place where people get to know their neighbors. It is a beautiful facility where our residents can come to relax, exercise and have fun," resident facility manager Josh Gaston said.

Community-sponsored special events and classes are held within the facility.

"We just hosted a family Super Bowl party where families enjoyed refreshments and cheered for their favorite teams on a big-screen television. This is just one example of the community activities planned for our residents," he said.

The Super Bowl party was held in the center's lounge, which is highlighted by a pool table, game table and big-screen television.

Adjacent is a multipurpose room where arts and crafts classes are available for children. Music lessons also are offered. Residents can use the fitness center and participate in exercise classes.

"After the weather warms up, residents can enjoy Mountain Falls' private outdoor aquatic center. This fenced-in area features a 25-yard lap pool and spa for adults, plus a family pool and interactive splash-and-spray area for families," Gaston said.

Adjacent is the Mountain Falls Grill Room, where residents, as well as nonresidents, can enjoy a meal. The restaurant overlooks an 18-hole golf course where annual, six-month, three-month and monthly golf-club memberships are offered to residents at a discounted rate, which include unlimited golf cart and greens fees. Golf memberships to nonresidents and daily greens fees are also available.

Four builders are currently constructing homes within nine neighborhoods.

Celebrate Homes offers six single-story floor plans ranging from 1,609 to 2,513 square feet in its Villa Serena and Villagio neighborhoods.

Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Classic Homes' Paradiso features five single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 2,850 to 4,300 square feet and priced from the high $400,000s.

Desert Wind Homes offers Tivoli, a single-story neighborhood with homes measuring from 1,938 to 2,097 square feet and priced from the $200,000s.

William Lyon is developing the Bella Sera, Entrata, Cascata, Cascata Ancora and Tramonto neighborhoods, where homes measure from 1,157 to 2,897 square feet. Prices start in the high $100,000s.

To visit from Las Vegas, travel about 45 miles west on State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road) past Interstate 15. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right.

Sales offices and model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon.
