Resort-style amenities highlighting the Mountain Falls community in Pahrump is supportive to residents wanting to live a healthy lifestyle.
According to resident facility manager Josh Gaston, on-site amenities provide residents access to a fitness facility and swimming pool complex. The public golf course offers a restaurant with healthy menu options.
The master-planned community is about 45 miles west of Las Vegas.
"The Mountain Falls residents' center is a beautiful facility where our residents can come to relax, exercise and have fun," Gaston said.
"The facility includes a fitness center with top-of-the-line, club-quality exercise equipment. Residents can easily get a full-body work out through strength training equipment, free weights and a variety of cardio machines including Stairmasters, elliptical and recumbent bicycles. We also offer residents yoga and low-impact aerobics classes on a regular basis in our multipurpose room, appealing to those who prefer a group exercise experience."
The residents' facilities offerings will expand in April when its resort-style swimming pool complex reopens.
"Our swimming pool complex, which is open from April through October, is a very popular place among residents of all ages," Gaston said.
"It consists of two areas. One area features a family style pool and a 'splash pad' which is like an interactive water playground that's fun for kids. In the rear, we have an adult area with a 25-acre lap pool and a spa."
The facility also consists of a residents' lounge for social gatherings with card tables, pool tables and a big-screen TV.
The Mountain Falls Golf Club features an 18-hole, par-72 course built amid mature trees and water features with multiple waterfalls.
Its sloped greens, well-place deep bunkers and water hazards challenge golfers of varying skill. Private and group lessons are available through on-site golf pros.
In addition to daily greens fees, annual, six-month, three-month and monthly golf passes are available to residents and nonresidents, and include unlimited play and golf cart use.
Gaston said residents who prefer less-strenuous exercise can enjoy walks along paved walking trails that meander throughout the community and along the perimeter of the course.
Overlooking the golf course is the Mountain Falls Grill Room, serving residents and nonresidents breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu provides a variety of selections.
